There was never any doubt that the Titans were going to draft at least one cornerback and at least one receiver in this draft. Those were the two biggest needs the Titans had. They were able to fill both of those needs in the first round with the selections of Corey Davis and Adoree’ Jackson. Where do they need to go from here?
They still need to add some pass rushing depth. Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan are very good, but there is basically nothing behind them. They spent a two on Kevin Dodd last year, but his foot still isn’t healthy.
Tight end is another spot where the Titans have a need for depth. They have one of the best tight ends in the league in Delanie Walker but need to fill the void left by Anthony Fasano’s departure.
Beyond those two positions, they could still use an outside linebacker that is good in coverage, some depth at running back and offensive tackle, and it wouldn’t hurt to go ahead and add another cornerback and another wide receiver.
The Titans don’t have another scheduled pick until pick #83. It is going to be a long wait before they are back on the clock, but this is a deep draft. There will still be plenty of good players for John Robinson to pick from.
