Louis Riddick 2017 NFL mock draft: Tre’Davious White over Marshon Lattimore?

Hey, I love anything with a twist this time of year!

NCAA Football: Citrus Bowl-Louisiana State vs Louisville Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Louis Riddick has released a mock draft today (In$ider) where he takes the player he says he would pick if he were the general manager of each team. It is very different from every other mock draft that we are seeing right now, and that’s a good thing because looking at the same mock draft over and over is just boring. Riddick takes Jamal Adams with the first overall pick for the Browns. Talk about shaking it up!

Anyway, he has the Titans taking Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU at 5 for the Titans with Marshon Lattimore still on the board. Here are Riddick’s comments:

I'd really want to trade down if I could, but since I can't in this exercise, let's go with White. He's a perfect fit for Dick LeBeau's scheme, which requires corners to have great route-recognition skills. White is a willing tackler and very seasoned. He's a safe pick.

Lattimore is the best prospect in this draft, but White doesn’t have the injury history concerns. Would that be enough for Jon Robinson to go with the lower ceiling?

At 18 Riddick has the Titans taking Mike Williams, WR, Clemson:

The Titans would be thrilled if Williams actually fell to them at No. 18. They have to find a way to get Marcus Mariota a few new receiving options in this draft. Williams is an elite playmaker when the ball is up for grabs.

I agree with the thought that the Titans would be thrilled to see Williams still on the board here. I doubt it happens, however.
