A couple of months ago, every mock had the Titans taking Marshon Lattimore and Corey Davis. Those were pretty easily the most popular selections back then and we’ve come right back around to that this year with Peter King’s mock draft.
King went Lattimore at 5 for the Titans, but also noted that they would be in play to trade back. No breaking news here. If Jon Robinson can’t strike a deal, it sure sounds like he’s going to be forced to select from one of Jamal Adams or Marshon Lattimore.
At 18, I think it’s pretty simple. The Titans will take the receiver that falls to them, assuming they passed medicals. King went with Corey Davis here. Obviously I love that selection. Davis just mentioned that Marcus Mariota is his favorite quarterback, so he clearly would be pretty excited about being a Titan.
King has Mike Williams landing at 16 to Baltimore, with John Ross sliding all the way down to pick 32, for reference on the receivers. I think that’s pretty accurate. The Ravens should kick off the receiver run with the Titans following.
Other notes: Christian McCaffrey lands at 8 to Carolina. King had the Jets as the trade back partner for the Browns, who came up for Trubisky. Jonathan Allen tumbles to 13. Watson lands in Houston one spot above the Titans after a trade with Washington.
