NFL mock draft 2017: Examining where the corners are picked in this two-round mock draft

Now you know why Jon Robinson covets a second round pick.

Our friend Dan Kadar of Mocking the Draft fame has released a new two-round mock draft. He went back to the standard picks for the Titans- Marshon Lattimore at 5 and John Ross at 18. There is going to be a lot of this over the next two weeks.

One interesting thing about this mock is that after the Titans take Lattimore at 5 there isn’t another corner taken until 24 (Gareon Conley). After that you have corners taken at 26, 32, 33, 39, 43, 45 and 50. That’s 9 corners in the first 50 picks after just 2 in the first 25. It speaks to the depth of this class that we have all been talking about, and it’s also one of the biggest reasons that Jon Robinson wants a 2nd round pick.

If Robinson can add a 2nd round pick, he can wait until the second round to pick a corner and still get a quality starter.
