The Titans are a busy bunch today. Paul Kuharsky is reporting that the team will not tender running back Antonio Andrews or tight end Phillip Supernaw. Both were restricted free agents and both will hit the open market on Thursday.
The Antonio Andrews news should come as no surprise. He was buried on the depth chart after the 2015 season, where he disappointed with the lions-share of carries. I would expect the team to add a quicker back that can add more in the passing game. They’ve already met with two — Alvin Kamara and Christian McCaffrey.
Phillip Supernaw is the more surprising development. With Anthony Fasano potentially gone too, we could see the tight end talk ramp up quickly. OJ Howard has been a popular name among mock drafts already.
With Mike Mularkey and Terry Robiskie using so many jumbo formations, I would imagine adding two more blocking tight ends would be a big priority. I’d be surprised if both Supernaw and Fasano got away, however.
