Yesterday the Titans were mentioned as a potential trade partner with the Saints for wide receiver Brandin Cooks, and Lambert was all in. The prevailing thought was that it would take a first round pick to acquire the talented receiver, but apparently that might not be the case:
Probably a 2nd rounder I'm told https://t.co/NB8mFEHb64

But here’s the problem, the Titans don’t currently have a 2nd round pick. A few weeks ago they had a chance an early pick in the third round, which might have been enough to get it done, but they ended up getting the Rams comp pick at the end of the third round.
Yesterday I was good with them giving up the 18th pick to get Cooks. This changes that for me, however. My guess is that Titans GM Jon Robinson can come up with a creative way to get this done without giving up a first if he really wants Cooks.
Make it happen, Jon!
