Reports from Florida’s pro day today are that Jalen “Teez” Tabor is running in the high 4.7s during his 40 yard dash runs today.

To add a little context, Taylor Lewan once ran a 4.79 40 before the 2013 draft. This is a disaster for Tabor’s draft stock. He was once considered a contender to be the top corner on many team’s draft boards (and hence a possible top target for the Titans), but I think he’ll be lucky to go in the top 3 rounds at this point. Now, I’m not one to generally be obsessive about 40 times, but a 4.77 for a corner raises more red flags than Tiananmen Square.
When you factor in his off the field issues combined with these 40 times he’s a hard pass for me. Especially when you think about the fact that he had a month to do nothing but work on improving his 40 time and he somehow got almost two-tenths of a second SLOWER. I would expect his camp to try to spin this with some sort of mystery injury that will be reported after the fact, but I won’t buy it.
What do you guys think? Would this take Tabor off your draft board altogether?
