Titans decision points in Mel Kiper’s latest mock draft

What would you have done in these scenarios?

NFL: Combine Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

This morning we looked at Mel Kiper’s latest mock draft where he gave the Titans Marshon Lattimore at #5 and John Ross at #18. The ceiling on that draft is really, really high, but the floor with the injury concerns with both guys is pretty low. It will be interesting to see if that is a risk that Jon Robinson is willing to take.

For this post, I wanted to look at players that were still on the board when Robinson made those selections. For me, the selection of Lattimore is pretty easy with the way that Kiper’s top 4 played out. Jamal Adams and Jonathan Allen are both gone. Corey Davis would be an option here, but he was still on the board at 18. I really think he is going to slide in the draft. I would be willing to roll the dice.

At 18 I would have to take Davis over Ross. Davis doesn’t have the durability concerns, and he is a more complete receiver (Davis went 19 to the Buccaneers in Kiper’s mock). With the Titans taking a receiver at 5, O.J. Howard and Mike Williams all being off the board, Davis would be a really easy pick for me here. I would be every fan’s favorite GM and turn my pick in within the first minute I was on the clock.
