Apparently Mike Lombardi said on The Ringer NFL Podcast that the Seattle Seahawks would be willing to trade CB Richard Sherman for the right deal. My first question there is who isn’t available for the right price? The Titans would trade Marcus Mariota if the Packers called them up and offered them Aaron Rodgers and 3 first round picks, right? So the first question is, what do the Seahawks think is the right price?
What if the Titans called Seattle and offered them #5 for Sherman? Would that be enough? Jon Robinson would probably be willing to make that deal. My suspicion is that they would probably want two first round picks for Sherman. With this being an extremely deep corner draft, that isn’t something that would make a lot of sense.
It is really amazing how many things like this come out this time of year. There is probably a 99% chance that Sherman is on the Seahawks when the season opens, but it is something worth keeping an eye on.
