Colts LB Erik Walden to visit the Titans today

Moving on from Dont’a....

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts Thomas J. Russo-USA TODAY Sports

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Colts LB Erik Walden is visiting the Titans today:

Walden had a very nice season in 2016. Check these stats from our friends at Stampede Blue:

Walden stepped up and had a career year, starting all 16 games and recording 42 tackles, eleven sacks, 17 quarterback hits, ten tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles.

The thought of adding a guy that can apply that type of pressure to the rotation with Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan is pretty exciting. This is the perfect Jon Robinson signing. A guy that is a very productive player that isn’t going to command a ton of money or a long-term deal.

The Titans are very shallow at outside linebacker behind Orakpo and Morgan. They hope they have something in Kevin Dodd, but he was hurt most of his rookie season.

Walden played his college football at Middle Tennessee State University.
