Of course he just had to put the “for now” in there. We have long suspected that Hightower is just stringing everyone along to get a better offer from the Patriots. This doesn’t necessarily confirm that, buuuut it kind of confirms that.
I am done with the daily Hightower stuff now. There is no reason to keep going with a daily update from here. We will put up a post when he eventually agrees to terms with the Patriots. In fact, I already have it written and ready to go.

Dont'a Hightower ranks 5th on his team - and 259th in NFL - in tackles (31). Good player, but he's a role player, not a foundational piece.
