What a Super Bowl! It hurts me to see the Patriots win another one, but that was a great game. Now that it is over, we have officially entered the NFL offseason. That means there will be mock drafts aplenty around here for the next few months. It’s gramsey’s favorite time of the year.
Dan Kadar put in the work on a 3 round NFL mock draft this morning. That means he did 4 picks for the Titans (2 in the first, 2 in the third). He went Jamal Adams, S, LSU with the 5th pick:
Adams is a complete safety who can roam, playing close to the line of scrimmage or dropping in coverage to break up passes.
With the 18th pick, he has the Titans taking Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama:
With Wilson and Lattimore gone, they should go after the cornerback with the greatest potential. That would be Humphrey, just a redshirt sophomore, who has experience pressing receivers at the line of scrimmage.
Hard to go wrong with 2 defenders from the SEC, #amIrite?
The Titans don’t currently have a 2nd round pick, but my guess is that Jon Robinson ends up with one. Kadar has the Titans taking Cooper Kupp, WR, Eastern Washington with their first pick in the 3rd round. I don’t know anything about Kupp, but he had a great week at the Senior Bowl.
The final pick for the Titans in Kadar’s mock was Larry Ogunjobi, DT, Charlotte. Another guy that I am not familiar with, but he had a nice season for the 49ers of Charlotte.
Would you be happy with this draft for the Titans?
