So much to link to today! Let's get to it!
Titans Links!
Lem Barney (don't hurt me, but...who?) is proud of Dick LeBeau. Barney was teammates with LeBeau on the Detroit Lions 50 years ago. Both were teammates from 1967 to 1972. Lem says that Dick is amazing. He says LeBeau is a great coach, and that he is also a great person. Barney also says the Titans are lucky to have him in the organization, and that the players are gaining a lot just by being around him, and learning from him. Lem also isn't surprised that LeBeau is still coaching at the age of 79 (80 in September), because he loves the game, and that he's a dedicated coach to the game.
Should the Titans sign Victor Cruz? He was cut by the Giants yesterday, and the cut was most likely done to free up some cap space. His numbers were blah last season. He played in 15 games, and caught 39 passes for 586 yards, and scored one touchdown. I expect we will see a lot of articles like this during this off-season. It's no secret the Titans need help at wide receiver, but do we really need a "Should the Titans sign *insert free agent receiver here*?" article every time some "big name receiver from 6-7 years ago" hits the market? Cruz definitely is not the same player he was in the past, and I just can't see him really contributing if he even did somehow make the team. Hard pass.
That's all for today. Happy reading!
