DaQuan Jones to have surgery for torn biceps; Rishard Matthews could be back this week

Mike Mularkey said at his press conference this afternoon that DaQuan Jones is headed to injured reserve after tearing his biceps yesterday. He will have surgery in the coming days. A season ending injury always sucks, but this one is especially tough with Jones coming off the best two games of his career. Luke Stocker will take DaQuan’s roster spot.

In other injury news, Rishard Matthews could be back this week according to Mularkey. The Titans have definitely missed his presence in the last couple of games.

Logan Ryan is in the concussion protocol. They will just have to see how he progresses as the week goes along.

In other news, the Titans will stay out west after Sunday’s game in Arizona ahead of the next Sunday’s game in San Francisco. That is a really smart decision by the organization because making that trip in back to back weeks would be brutal.
