The Titans have won 3 weeks in a row to move to 5-3. That is a strong start to the season that we all would have taken at the beginning of the year. Sure, the Titans still have some issues, but as Terry and I discussed on the podcast today, pretty much every team in the AFC does as well. I am really happy with where they are at this point.

Here is a look at where the Titans rank in the various power rankings around the web. I will update it as more are available.

SB Nation: 12 (LW:14)

ESPN: 14 (LW:19)

What to make of the Titans, who have seen a slight dip in these rankings since the preseason? They currently sit atop the AFC South, but they're the only winning team with a negative point differential (minus-12).

NESN: 12

Tennessee’s red-zone offense somehow went from No. 1 in the NFL a year ago to No. 21 this season, but the Titans keep finding ways to win. They’ll seek their fourth straight victory Sunday when they face the Bengals.

NFL.com: 14 (LW:19)

Not pretty by any stretch of the imagination, but another win for the resilient Titans. Tennessee has now won three games in a row to pull to 5-3. Remember, one of those losses was with Matt Cassel in the driver's seat ... which made the offense motor like an '86 Nissan Sentra. Even with a healthy Marcus Mariota, call the offense a '79 white Pacer with wood-grain siding and maroon. The run game stunk. Mariota's mobility came into play, however, like on this touchdown pass to Eric Decker. Mariota couldn't move half that distance three weeks ago.
