Post-game results: Titans survive the Bengal outbreak.

Cardiac arrest rates were high among the afternoon around 2:45pm CST. 46 seconds on the clock left in the 4th Quarter, Marcus Mariota appeared to limp gingerly while his head was bashed full-force on the ground. Titan fans were panicking and scared if this is the end of the road for our QB in the clutch. All of a sudden, Marcus Mariota took command of the regime and threw a pass to DeMarco Murray for a reach-and-score. Titans won by a 4 point lead over the Bengals.

Let's reflect and notice the defense is becoming scary good in coverage in the secondary. Let's be honest. Besides the long 70-yard TD run late in the 4th Quarter, seems like the defense was in a prevent scheme, which usually allows a team to score easily too often. If you noticed, Logan Ryan tripped on his own feet while trying to close-in onto AJ Green. Byard had one miscommunication with our SS in Cyprien... who is a liability in coverage, I rather have Curtis Riley in the backfield on those plays. And can people stop hating on Adoree Jackson? He guy is a Swiss-Army knife and knows how to play tight coverage, not afraid to tackle, explosive runner, and can play on the ball. Let's be honest, the corners, safeties, and Brown along with Woodyard have been the turning point for this defense going forward. It has hit the 2nd half mark for the NFL season, and this is the point in the season that highlights the resiliency between playoff teams and flakers. The Titans are a playoff team for the first time in YEARS. Go back to the year 2007, the division is in another universe because the division leaders are the Titans and Jaguars. Alternate universe, anyone? The Titans are moving in the right direction. They are missing pieces in the defensive portion of the trenches so far, so it would be logical to target DE, DL, NT, SS, OLB, MLB, and possibly OG. Going by order, I'd suggest that DE and DL is the main corner as 1st tier worries, while OLB and NT are secondary tier, as tertiary tier is SS, MLB, and the OG position group.

The only weakness in the offense was the interior line. Every single time we ran the ball up the gut, there were more negatives over positives, while the opposite happened on the outside running game. Missing Spain doesn't help our offensive line, Ben Jones is not performing well for whatever reason, and Kline is going to Kline, he's hot and cold, not worried. While I was not a fan of the run play calls, the pass was on point early on in the game, yet the passing game grew cold due to the milking the clock method doesn't compliment well with this style of offense. This offensive layout was 50/50 between scheme and execution. Both parties were guilty with underperforming.

Now it is time to prepare against the Steelers. We have a chance to win this game, because... ever since the terrible towel incident, the Titans has had the Steelers number in recent matchups, especially in PrimeTime/Nationally Televised games. I believe the only loss on Prime Time was Thursday night against the Jags in Jacksonville two years ago.
