The Titans are signing free agent quarterback Brandon Weeden to the 53-man roster based on reports from ESPN’s Field Yates.

Weeden has played for the Browns, Cowboys, and Texans since being drafted in the 1st round by Cleveland in 2012. He has appeared in 32 games, started 25 of those and has a career completion percentage of 57.9%, average of 190 yards passing per game, and has thrown 31 touchdown passes to 30 interceptions. Weeden was last seen as the Texans third string quarterback in 2016 behind Brock Osweiler and Tom Savage. Excuse me while I light myself on fire...

He will likely serve as Matt Cassel’s backup on Sunday if Mariota can’t go. This isn’t exactly a choice that inspires a ton of excitement. As much as I hated watching Cassel on Sunday, I really really hope we don’t have to see Weeden take a snap in a Titans uniform.

Get well soon Marcus...
