Most of you know that I am an Alabama fan. I am more nervous about this game than I have been any of the national championship games since the Texas game in 2010. This Alabama defense might be the best one yet, but Deshaun Watson is easily the best quarterback they have faces this year. He lit them up last year for 405 yards through the air and 73 yards on the ground with 4 touchdowns. That game ended with Bama winning 45-40.
Derrick Henry and his 158 yards and 3 touchdowns aren’t walking through that door. This version of the Alabama offense isn’t going to score 45 points, so the defense will need to be a lot better than it was last season.
