Titans Links!
Jack Conklin was named to the Associated Press All-Pro Team. So awesome! Conklin received 27.5 out of 50 votes for his position to be named to the team. He beat out Mitchell Schwartz and Marcus Cannon (both who got six votes each). PK says that Conklin being named to the All-Pro Team is "exhibit A" of Robinson's early success. Robinson worked his magic on draft day to draft the player he coveted, and who had been scouted perfectly for the type of team he was wanting to build. He now gets a chance to work his magic again in the upcoming draft where he has the fifth and eighteenth picks in the first round.
Quick Hit: Jim Wyatt's mailbag.
Joe Rexrode has an early guess for what Robinson may do in the draft: trade down again. Rexrode says the Titans need a number one receiver, and Rashard Matthews seems to agree. Matthews says bringing in a speedster would be a lot easier for him. Matthews goes on to say that a true number one receiver helps take the top off the defense consistently, and a player like that makes everything easier. Rexrode says they also need a cornerback...or two. He also lists a return man, a linebacker that's solid in coverage, some more players in the trenches, and an heir to Delanie Walker. Rexrode says he can imagine Robinson using the 5th pick much like he did the 1st in last year's draft. He says the corner position is deep this draft, and that trading back into the 2nd could help Jon end up with a pair of good ones. Let the season of speculation commence!
Quick Hit: A look back at the Titans season.
That's all for today! Happy reading!
