Colts to retain Chuck Pagano as head coach

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at Oakland Raiders Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Titans can’t beat the Colts. Let me get that out of the way right up front. This year they had 2 good chances to get that monkey off their back, and they just weren’t able to do that.

With all of that being said, the best chance the Titans have to win consistently over the Colts in the future is with Chuck Pagano at the helm. There is good news on that front as it was announced this morning that Pagano will be back in 2017. That is cause for much rejoicing.

The Colts, again while never losing to the Titans, have consistently underachieved with Pagano there. In fact, their best year with Pagano as coach was the year that Bruce Arians took over for most of the season.

Now we just need the Jacksonville Jaguars to announce they are picking up the 5th-year option on Blake Bortles. That would help the AFC South be ripe for the picking for the next few years.
