Jack Conklin named to AP All Pro team

Take that Geoff Schwartz!

NFL: Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

The Associated Press has released their 2016 All-Pro team, and Titans rookie right tackle Jack Conklin made the first team. This is an even bigger honor that the Pro Bowl because there is only one player selected at each position. Conklin is one of 3 rookies named to the first team.

Now Conklin can just say “scoreboard” to all of the haters out there talking about him not blocking enough by himself or whatever other crap they want to bring up. Conklin, at least according to the 50 writers who voted on this team, is the best right tackle in the entire NFL. Period.

It really cannot be overstated how awesome it is for the Titans to have bookend tackles that will be the anchor of the offensive line for the next decade. These guys and Marcus Mariota are going to go through the prime of their careers at the same time. The ceiling is really high for this offense.
