Tonight’s Between the Posts/open thread’s question is what is the worst draft pick the Titans have ever made? You could go with “every second round pick Ruston Webster made.” That wouldn’t be the worst answer in the world, but I don’t think it is the most correct.
The most correct answer is Andre Woolfolk. The Titans took Woolfolk in the first round of the 2003 draft. Just go look at the cornerbacks that were taken after Woolfolk in that draft. Yikes.
2003 was the last year the Titans were good. Is that Woolfolk’s fault? Yes. Of course not. The Titans had a lot of good players that were at the end of their careers. Floyd Reese had back-loaded a lot of contracts to try and keep that window open as long as possible. 2003 was the last year everyone stayed relatively healthy.
Who do you think the worst draft pick in Titans history is? You can comment on that or anything else that is on your mind this evening.
