Well obviously last night's game didn't turn out the way I was hoping it would, but hey, you can't win them all. Clemson had a great year, and Deshaun Watson put up the 2nd best individual performance in national championship history. I think you know who had the greatest- he who shall not be mentioned.
There were at least 4 players on the field last night, Reuben Foster, Jonathan Allen, Deshaun Watson and Mike Williams, who are worthy of the #5 pick. Obviously the Titans aren't taking Watson, but the other 3 could be very much in play for Jon Robinson.
Foster would be a huge upgrade for the Titans at inside linebacker. He is a 3-down ILB who plays well against the run and the pass.
Allen is a force on the defensive line. Can you imagine a front with Allen, Jurrell Casey, Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan? Dick LeBeau would have a field day with that.
Those guys are great, but as I said on Twitter last night after he made the catch in the picture above, bring me Mike Williams. That dude is going to be a stud in the NFL. He would give the Titans another home run threat on the outside to go with Rishard Matthews.
Which of those 3 guys would you take with the 5th pick?
