The AFC playoff picture is almost complete

All that is left is the AFC West.

NFL: Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Patriots went to Miami and put it on the Dolphins today. In doing so they locked up the #1 seed in the AFC and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Steelers and Texans were already locked in to the #3 and #4 seeds respectively. The Miami Dolphins are also already locked in as the #6 seed.

The only thing left to be determined are the #2 and #5 seeds. The Raiders get the #2 seed with a win over the Broncos. That would make the Chiefs the #5 seed. However, if the Raiders lose and the Chiefs win, the Chiefs would be the AFC West Champions and the #2 seed. The Raiders would then be the #5 seed.

The Titans beat 3 of the 6 AFC playoff teams (and they would have beaten the Raiders, and been in the playoffs, if not for a terrible OPI call against Andre Johnson). It stinks to be 9-7 and on the outside looking in, but that is just the way it went this year. Brighter days are ahead for the Titans.
