We are finally #BacktoFootball, and we have an excellent opening game tonight between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos- a rematch of last year's Super Bowl. Even though these are the same two teams that played in February, a lot has changed since that match-up. Peyton Manning retired and the Broncos have turned to Trevor Siemian as their quarterback. This is a heck of a stage to make his NFL debut.
Here is everything you need to know about watching tonight's game:
Game time
The game kicks off tonight at 7:40 central time from Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
TV schedule and TV channel
The game will air nationally on NBC with Al Michaels on the play-by-play, Chris Collinsworth on the color and Michelle Tafoya as the sideline reporter.
Online stream
NFL Game Pass offers live audio and re-airs after the game. NBC will live stream this game on their website.
DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket has expanded its online streaming service. Verizon subscribers can watch games live with the NFL Mobile app (subscription required, and usual TV blackout rules apply even online).
Odds
Our friends at Odds Shark have the Panthers as a 3 point favorite in this game.
Prediction
So the last time we saw these two teams the Broncos defense completely obliterated Cam Newton and the Panthers offense. You can believe that Mike Shula, the Panthers offensive coordinator, has spent all offseason looking at that tape. I don't have any faith in Shula's ability to make the proper adjustments. You can call me a bitter Alabama fan if you want, but that is how I feel. Give me Broncos 17 Panthers 13. I will also take the under on the 41.5 total (for recreational purposes only).
