It's back to the future today for the Tennessee Titans. They have signed veteran receiver Marc Mariani. Unfortunately they released Tre McBride to make room on the roster:

Hopefully McBride will clear waivers and the Titans can add him to the practice squad.
I will give the Titans this, they do need a returner with the release of Dexter McCluster, and none of us want a replay of the year where they didn't have a returner and turned the ball over pretty much every time it was kicked to them. However, McBride looked pretty solid in that role in the chances he got, and he brings a lot more as a receiver than Mariani does- especially at this point in his career.
Mariani was a 7th round pick by the Titans back in 2010. He spent 3 seasons with the Titans before be released. He spent the last 2 seasons with the Chicago Bears. He averaged 11.2 yards per punt return during his first stint with the Titans.
