John McClain of the Houston Chronicle is reporting that Bill O’Brien will call the plays for the Houston Texans on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Texans’ offensive coordinator George Godsey had been handling the play calling duties:
Bill O'Brien is going to call plays again. He called them in 2013. OC George Godsey has called them since. Texans tied 4 last n scoring.

There really is no excuse for the Texans to be bad on offense. Brock Osweiler isn’t great, but he is serviceable, and they have some great weapons. DeAndre Hopkins is in the discussion of the best receivers in the league. Lamar Miller is a stud running back. Rookie WR Will Fuller has been really good averaging just over 20 yards per reception. That’s quite an arsenal.
I haven’t watched the Texans at all this season, so I am not sure how much of an impact this move will have on Sunday, but it is good to see a head coach that is willing to shake things up.
I wonder if this is a move Mike Mularkey would consider in the future. He has had a lot of success as an offensive coordinator in the past.
