Taylor Lewan: “Not really a home game because there's just as many away fans as ours.”

There’s a remedy for that.

NFL: Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Taylor Lewan had an interesting quote today per our friends over at A to Z Sports:

The last sentence there is the key. Those of you who are old enough to remember all the way back to when the Titans first came here and Nissan Stadium was called Adelphia Coliseum remember how awesome the crowd was when the team first came here. In fact, they didn’t lose a game at home until the divisional round of the playoffs following the 2000 season- winning 17 straight at home.

Lewan seems to understand the issue. Fans will come to the games when there is an exciting product on the field to watch. The opposing fan thing has only been an issue for the last 2-3 years. They have only won 5 games at home since the start of the 2013 season.

Wins will bring the fans back. Stupid penalties in the last minute of a game don’t help a team win games. Maybe Lewan will keep that in the back of his head next time.
