I’m not a Cian Fahey fan. In fact, I don’t follow him on Twitter anymore because I don’t care about his thoughts on social issues, but every week he finds a play from the Titans game and makes fun of it. Which is probably the easiest job anyone could have. That hard part is probably picking just one.
Here is this week’s selection:
How...I....but what....what is this? How does someone design this and think, "Yeah this will work." pic.twitter.com/G34jF3CmLF

Seriously, I need someone to explain to me how that is supposed to work because I can’t see any way it would unless every single defender abandons their assignment and goes after the play fake. How many times does that happen in an NFL game?
There’s also this:

Did you notice what happened on the last drive when the Titans went no huddle and spread the field?
I understand that the Titans want to form an identity as a smashmouth team, and I am fine with that, but that doesn’t mean they can’t run a couple of drives a game where they spread things out and go fast. That is what Mariota does best. The current offense doesn’t allow him to get into any type of rhythm. Again, he needs to play better, but they are handcuffing him now.
It just sucks to watch him thrive in the hurry up only to see it inside of 2 minutes. The Titans are currently last in the league in points per game. It is hard to see that changing if they keep doing things the same way. Unfortunately that is probably exactly what will happen though.
