Don't Gamble on the Tennessee Titans at Home

Just looking out for your wallet here.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

If you're a gambler like myself, the first rule you have to learn early on is not to bet with your heart. You may feel like your favorite team has the edge this week, but I've found that I tend to get myself in trouble when I bet on the teams that I root for. For that reason, I generally steer clear of both the Titans and Vols.

As if you needed more of a reason to stay away from betting on the Titans, RJ Bell delivers this mind-boggling stat.

The Titans have covered the spread at home just four times in the past three seasons. Think about that for a second. We all know about the home struggles during the past couple of seasons, but this is perhaps even worse.

I have no idea why the Titans can't figure out how to win at home. It's a pretty odd trend that looks to be continuing into this season. Nissan Stadium certainly isn't what it used to be, but stringing several losing seasons together will certainly test a fanbase. Throw in the hire of Mike Mularkey and you have a recipe for an angry base. There's only one thing that can get Nissan Stadium back to where it once was -- winning football games.

In the meantime if you want to make some money, bet on the visiting team when the Titans play in Nashville.
