Marcus Mariota had a rough game against the Raiders. He threw two interceptions and fumbled once. The first interception wasn’t that big of a deal because it was at the end of the half on a wasted drive, but the other 2 turnovers really hurt the team. He needs to start playing better for his team to have a chance to be good. It also would help if the playcalling wasn’t all over the place, but that’s not what we are talking about right now.
Rishard Matthews led the way with 8 targets in the loss to the Raiders. He turned that in to 3 catches for 32 yards- not very efficient there. Tajae Sharpe, in his first bad game as a pro, saw 7 targets. His line was 3-48-0.
DeMarco Murray continues to be a pleasant surprise int he passing game. He caught 5 passes on 5 targets for 41 yards.
Jace Amaro and Harry Douglas both saw 4 targets. Amaro had a nice game. I still can’t believe Douglas was the target on the last play of the game. They should have called pass interference, but still.
Andre Johnson was targeted 3 times and the refs screwed him out of a touchdown. He didn’t have a catch that counted.
Jalston Fowler caught his only target for 14 yards. Phillip Supernaw had 1 target, 0 catches, and shouldn’t be on an NFL roster.
Target totals through 3 weeks:
Tajae Sharpe 25
DeMarco Murray 19
Rishard Matthews 18
Andre Johnson 12
Delanie Walker 11
Harry Douglas 9
Jace Amaro 4
Derrick Henry 3
Phillip Supernaw 2
Jalston Fowler 1
