This play is why the Titans signed Andre Johnson

A lot of people were surprised when the Titans signed Andre Johnson this offseason. People talked about how he looked done last season with the Colts. Why would they bring in the corpse of Andre Johnson people asked. Well, you saw yesterday the exact reason they brought AJ in:

See here’s the thing, they new Dorial Green-Beckham was on his way out when they signed Johnson. That meant they needed a guy that could go up and get a ball in the red zone. Johnson showed yesterday that he can do that.

Andre might not have 50 catches this year, but if he can make the play that he did yesterday 4-5 times over the next 2 seasons it will be worth every single penny they spent on him.

And then there is that throw by Marcus Mariota. He put it exactly where it had to be and trusted that Johnson was going to come down with it.
