First off, I know that it has been a long time since Jeff Fisher was with the Titans, so this is not a Titans-related post, but there are some things that are just to good not to post about. John Clayton is reporting that the Los Angeles Rams and Jeff Fisher have agreed to a 3-year contract extension. That’s right, The Stache once again has job security. How does he keep doing it?
Fisher’s career record is 169-157-1. The horrible loss to the 49ers on Monday Night moved him into sole possession of 3rd place in career losses. Only Tom Landry (250-162-6) and Dan Reeves (190-165-2) have more losses than Fisher. That’s right, 9 more losses this season will give Fish the distinction as the losingest head coach in NFL history. If his team doesn’t play any better than they did on Monday night, 9 more losses will happen in his next 9 games.
But hey, good for Jeff Fisher. The man has made a lot of money in his career to be mediocre at what he does.
