Titans Links!
Burning ("I'm burnin', I'm burnin', I'm burnin' for you") questions heading into Sunday's game against the Lions. Will the running game kick in? The running game was banging on all cylinders during the preseason. This past Sunday was a little bit of a different story. The Lions' running defense is pretty lackluster, so maybe the Titans can get something going this Sunday. Can the team get Walker more involved? The Vikings defended him well, but the team should be able to find a way to get him involved. Is the secondary ready for Stafford (lololololol)? Yeah. Outlook not so good. How big will Dodd's role be against Detroit? If Morgan doesn't get to play against the Lions, then Bass will get the nod, but Dodd should see more playing time through rotation. Finally, can the Titans win the turnover battle? Turnovers were the downfall of the Titans on Sunday. Seriously hope the team can avoid those this time around.
Quick Hit: A fine is unlikely for Avery Williamson.
LaDainian Tomlinson and Marshall Faulk are fans of the Titans' backs. Tomlinson believes that both Murray and Henry can control the pace of the game, help win the time of possession game, and help the defense. He also believes Mariota will enjoy the luxury of having both guys on the team. Marshall Faulk agrees. He digs the 1-2 punch, and feels both backs can be successful. Originally Faulk was marking Henry up as just another Alabama back, but then he saw him play. More specifically: he saw what Henry can do in tight spaces.
Quick Hit: Go vote for Tajae Sharpe! Make him Pepsi Rookie of the week! Now!
The Color Rush uniforms (sponsored by Crayola...ok not really) were unveiled yesterday. Last year only 8 teams played in Color Rush games. This year we get all 32 teams. Some look pretty sweet, and some look pretty meh. The Titans Color Rush game is against the Jaguars (again) on 10/27, and they will be decked out in all baby blue (again). The cool thing is that 100% of the proceeds from the sales of Color Rush jerseys will go to the NFL Foundation. The money will go towards health, safety, and wellness programs for youth around the country.
Quick Hit: Tajae did pretty well in his debut, but he still has things to learn.
That's all for today. Happy reading!
