Yesterday the Titans released Alex Tanney to bring back CB Cody Riggs. Today they have signed Tanney back to the practice squad:
.@Titans have added QB Alex Tanney to the practice squad, replacing G/C Ronald Patrick

It was a bit of a shock that Tanney made the 53-man roster out of camp, so there was really no surprise when they let him go yesterday. Tanney is probably never going to be a starter in the NFL, but he is a solid guy to have around. He could even be a better backup than Matt Cassel in time. However, I get why they would want to keep Cassel over him for now because you need a veteran to fill in if something happens to Marcus Mariota during a game.
