Titans wide receiver Kendall Wright will miss practice today

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Kendall Wright "tweaked" his hamstring in Tuesday's practice. Everyone said after practice that it was no big deal and he probably wouldn't miss any time. Everyone lied...as is usually the case when it comes to injuries. Paul Kuharsky tweeted earlier this morning that Wright will not practice today.

The thing about hamstring injuries is that they tend to linger. It is smart to hold him out at this point to make sure it heals completely and it isn't something that bothers him all year long.

Harry Douglas was the biggest beneficiary from Wright's injury on Tuesday. Douglas stepped in and took the slot reps with the first group. Douglas is by no means a lock to make this team, so this is a big opportunity for him to step up and prove that he deserves a spot.

It is also an opportunity for everyone behind Wright on the depth chart to get some extra reps. There will probably be 5-6 receivers on this team. Wright, Tajae Sharpe, Rishard Matthews, and Dorial Green-Beckham are locks. That leaves one or two spots for the rest of the group.

Time to step up!
