Tracking the Tennessee Titans roster cuts and around the NFL

The Tennessee Titans have to be at 75 players 3 pm central this afternoon. By my count they still have 2 players to cut to be at that number. The news of 10 players cut came out over the weekend, and the news of Ropati Pitoitua being released came out last night. Stay tuned for those names when they are released.

We will also be keeping an eye on cuts around the NFL. The Titans will be looking for help at tight end, corner back and possibly offensive line. It is more likely that those players will be added after the cut down to 53 that happens this weekend.

All of that to say, the Titans initial 53-man roster, which I projected yesterday, will be far from final before the waiver period ends. The Titans do have the first waiver spot until after the season starts, so Jon Robinson will be able to claim any player that he sees out there that he wants.

The Titans have cut RB David Cobb and WR Jarrod West. They now stand at 75 players.
