In a bit of shocking news, it appears that Craig Stevens has decided to retire from the NFL at the age of 31:
Can confirm that #Titans TE Craig Stevens is retiring at age 31 after8 NFL season. Alex Marvez first reported.— Terry McCormick (@terrymc13) August 23, 2016
It will be interesting to see what comes out here. Stevens retirement opens up a spot on the roster. Philip Supernaw was probably already a lock to make the roster, but this makes him an absolute lock.
It also frees up a spot for a guy that was previously on the bubble. It will be a guy that contributes on special teams. Mike Mularkey mentioned earlier this week that Antonio Andrews is good on "teams." He could get the spot that opens here.
