The Titans have claimed LB Amarlo Herrera off waivers. He was released by the Colts on Wednesday. Herrera was a sixth-round draft pick by the Colts in 2015 and spent most of the season their practice squad.
This move brings the Titans to 89 players according to Jim Wyatt. With the roster limit being 90 right now, the Titans don't have to release anyone to bring Herrera in. This is a no risk move.
Herrera probably won't play tomorrow night, but he will have a couple of weeks to show the Titans what he can do. He will probably make his debut on Monday.
Speaking of Monday debuts, Kevin Dodd is eligible to come off the PUP list on Monday. Hopefully he is able to do that because the Titans need him to get some work in during the preseason. Activating him next week could allow him to play in preseason games 3 and 4.
