First off, I hope that everyone had a great holiday weekend. The 4th of July is always great, but it is somewhat bittersweet because it is the anniversary of Steve McNair's passing. He was an incredible player, leader, and man. While we always remember him around this time of year, it is perfect for his matchup to be today:
(1) Steve McNair: Number 9 won by a large amount last round, but not as much as expected. For a while, Blaine Bishop was relatively close to him in the poll. While Bishop was an amazing Titan in his own right, I'm not sure how I could vote for him over the all-time great, Steve McNair. He was the Titans for several crucial years. He carried the franchise through his toughness, amazing play, and great character. Steve McNair was everything that you want the face of your franchise to be, and more.
(2) Keith Bulluck: On the other side of the ball, Keith Bulluck is about as good as it gets when it comes to Titans' defenders. He, too, was a huge fan favorite, and for great reason. While McNair was getting it done on offense, Bulluck was leading the defense en route to top 5 rankings in the early, and even part of the late 2000's. That defense was what made the team run for several years, and helped the rest of the team out in a huge way. Bulluck was an absolutely vital part of that with his dynamic, playmaking ability and his leadership.
My vote: Keith Bulluck was absolutely amazing, but I have a feeling that this is the end of the line. McNair has been the favorite throughout this entire tournament, and I expect him to continue to roll.
