In Mike Mularkey's press conference this afternoon, he announced that rookie outside linebacker Kevin Dodd has been placed on the physically unable to perform list. Being placed on the PUP list isn't a big deal right now, but this injury seems to hanging around longer than expected.
Mularkey: Kevin Dodd is on PUP. We will re-evaluate him every few days.

Dodd's injury is a stress fracture in his foot. He had a screw inserted back in May, but still isn't up to speed quite yet. Mularkey said it shouldn't be too much longer before we see Dodd hit the field and he will be re-evaluated every few days.
Kevin Dodd figures to be a huge part of this defense, despite his lack of a starter status. The depth on the edges was exposed last season when Derrick Morgan went down, so Jon Robinson aimed to fix that problem by selecting Dodd with the 33rd pick in the draft.
