"I'm not alone cause the TV's on yeah,
I'm not crazy cause I take the right pills everyday..."
Who is the next rising star in the AFC South? Each ESPN writer for the division was asked this question, and the consensus was: Marcus Mariota. Houston writer Tania Ganguli says Mariota needs to stay healthy, and has shown he can be an exciting player despite the lack of talent of skill players around him. Paul K says Mariota is the easy answer, and that Marcus should benefit from the upgrades made this off-season. Michael DiRocco (Jaguars) believes Mariota will capitalize on the things he learned last year, and should be more comfortable in his second season in the NFL. Finally, Mike Wells (Colts) labels Mariota as the second best quarterback in the AFC South, and that he believes Marcus will show improvement.
Quick Hit: Tennessee Titans: Remember Marcus Mariota? (Wait....who???)
Tre McBride (last season's favorite underdog) is aiming to worry less, and produce more. Last season he was irrationally worried about things that he couldn't control, but now he is feeling confident (irrational confidence?). He feels more comfortable in his skin, and how to be in the NFL. He knows he has what it takes to play in the league, but now it is all about capitalizing on the opportunities given to him.
Quick Hit: Tennessee Titan's Mount Rushmore.
That's all for today. Happy reading!
