"You're as cold as ice,
You're willing to sacrifice our love..."
Titans Links!
ESPN writers that cover the AFC South were asked if Mularkey will finally find success with the Titans. Jaguars reporter Mike DiRocco says a lot of Mularkey's success depends on the development of Mariota. He says this is a pretty obvious answer, but notes Mariota is a step up compared to the past QBs Mularkey worked with on his last two Head Coaching stints. Texans reporter Tania Ganguli says many people around the league believe Mularkey is a good coach, but she wonders how long the Titans will give him and Robinson to right the ship. Colts reporter Mike Wells feels the team will finish last in the division again, but notes that Mularkey and his crew need to be sure to keep the players developing so they can close the gap between them and the other teams in the AFC South.
Quick Hit: Terry McCormick tells us that Deiontrez Mount is eager to return to form for the Titans.
Justin Hunter is well aware of how important these weeks leading up to training camp are. New Wide Receivers coach Bob Bratkowski told Hunter, and the rest of the core, that now is not the time to slack off. He also emphasized that they should all come back and be able to pass the conditioning test, and that if they don't, then they don't deserve to be there. Mularkey feels Hunter has talent, and just needs to show confidence in his body language and he needs to step up and be more aggressive. Please do something, Hunter.
That's all for today. Happy reading!
