Titans Links!
Derrick Henry can catch footballs! We all knew he could run the ball (something he did a lot of in college), but he's been showing some skill in the receiving category during OTAs. Henry himself loves catching footballs, and makes the best out of every opportunity he gets to receive a football. He doesn't want to be a one-dimensional running back. He wants to be a threat running and catching the football. Mularkey chimed in and said he has been impressive on 1-on-1 drills, and has shown he has the ability to be a good route runner as well.
Quick Hit: Jim Wyatt offers up three observations from Thursday's OTAs.
How are the Titans planning on splitting the carries for the Running Backs? Robiskie believes in doing whatever it takes to win the game. They will obviously go into the game with a plan in mind, but if they go one way to get things going, and that guy is getting the job done, then they will run with the "hot hand."
Quick Hit: Mariota beat Woodyard at H-O-R-S-E.
The Titans are using trivia to create competition. Mularkey has been creating off the field competitiveness by pitting players versus players, positions vs positions, and offense versus defense. No one knows who will be pitted against one another, and it helps to serve as a break from the monotonous work that goes into the off-season. The little competitions last about 5 minutes and can take on different forms.
That's all for today. Happy reading!
