The USA Today ranked the offseason for all 32 NFL teams. The good news is that the Tennessee Titans are #3 on the list. The bad news is that the teams that are ranked #1 and #2 are also from the AFC South (Jacksonville and Houston respectively). I hate to admit this, but I love what the Jaguars did in the draft. Jalen Ramsey was one of my favorite players in the draft. Myles Jack has top 5 talent but a knee that probably limits the length of his career..not to mention the fact that Dante Fowler, who was my favorite player in last year's draft, will return from an ACL injury.
OK, that is more than enough good things said about the Jags. I feel gross.
Here are the comments from the USA Today article on what the Titans have done this offseason:
New GM Jon Robinson traded the draft’s No. 1 pick – a blessing in light of the Laremy Tunsil fiasco that ensued – and wound up with five of the top 64 selections, which were parlayed into potential impact players T Jack Conklin, OLB/DE Kevin Dodd and RB Derrick Henry. Robinson also acquired RB DeMarco Murray for a song during free agency. Could be yet another AFC South club on the fast track to relevance.
On the Tunsil part of that: You can trust that Jon Robinson and company already knew there were some questions about Tunsil off the field. I have my doubts that they would have taken him with the first pick even if they kept the pick AND the "bong" video never happened.
