"Here I go against the grain,
It's time to yet again complain..."
Titans Links!
Yesterday I linked to an article stating Robinson and released two scouts. He has continued to make changes within the organization by now naming Ryan Cowden as director of player personnel. Cowden was previously with the Carolina Panthers where he was the assistant director of college scouting. Lake Dawson was the previous director of player personnel, but Webster (yes Webster) relieved him of his duties (you're fired) back last year in January.
A lot of people have liked the moves the Titans have made this off-season. You can count Marcus Mariota as a fan of the moves as well. He, and fellow players, can sense a buzz growing about the team around the community, and they feel that this is what the team really needs right now. He feels the drafting of Conklin and Henry, and bringing in players like Murray and Matthews, has allowed some versatility to happen to the team. He also feels all the other players that were drafted and brought in will make an impact early, and will compete and make this team better.
The Titans selected Kevin Dodd in the second round of the draft. Some were left scratching their heads at the selection, and others were whelmed by the pick. Brian Orakpo, on the other hand, liked the selection and is impressed with Dodd's play. Orakpo says Dodd is a natural pass rusher, and he provides something the Titans desperately needed last year at the position: depth.
That's all for today. Happy reading!
