It was announced after practice today that 2nd round pick Kevin Dodd underwent foot surgery this morning. The injury happened in the rookie mini-camp this past weekend. You can watch Mike Mularkey's explanation below:

It stinks that he is going to miss the time this offseason, but it sounds like they made the best choice to go ahead and get the surgery done. He should be 100% by the time the season rolls around. That is better than the elevated risk of an injury happening because of the damage that is already there.
Dodd should play a huge role in this defense because he is the only depth they have behind Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan. Hopefully Dodd's recovery goes very smoothly and allows him to see some time on the field in the final couple of preseason games.
Here is an update on the injury from Rap Sheet:
#Titans DE Kevin Dodd learned in rookie camp he had a stress fracture in his 5th metatarsal. Screw inserted. TEN plans on him back by camp

So maybe he won't miss any camp. That would be awesome!
