Jalen Ramsey, who I was really hoping the Titans would draft, suffered a "small meniscus tear" during the 2nd phase of the Jaguars mini-camp according to the team. This is the second year in a row that the Jags have drafted a defensive prospect from the state of Florida that I really liked only to have him suffer a knee injury in camp. Last year Dante Fowler tore his ACL in camp and missed the entire season.
I'm no doctor, but this injury probably won't cost Ramsey the season. Heck, it might not even cost him any time in a real game, but it does suck for them to have their first round pick for the second straight year. I really hate it for Ramsey because I want to see him have success....but not against the Titans of course.
The Jaguars are a team that a lot of people are picking to really make a big move this season (for the 7th straight season, but whatever). There is no doubt they did really well in the first 2 rounds of the draft. It will be interesting to see if this is the year they actually take that step.
