It now appears that picks one and two are set for next week's NFL Draft. The Eagles and Browns just pulled off the NFL's second blockbuster draft deal, sending the Eagles all the way up to the two slot.
The Eagles have been doing their homework on this quarterback class and were rumored to be very aggressive in their efforts to get to the top of the draft. Today the Eagles announced that a trade had been finalized.

It certainly looks like the draft will start next Thursday night with two quarterbacks coming off the board. We've gone from having "no top quarterback prospect this year" to now two teams mortgaging their futures to take shots at Jared Goff and Carson Wentz. Amazing.
This move makes a ton of sense from the Browns perspective with a total new regime in place. This gives them picks going forward and multiple bullets to add talent this year and next year. They'll roll with Robert Griffin III this year and see what happens, but they now have multiple first rounders next year and a potential shot at a guy like Deshaun Watson.
The Eagles paid good money for Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel, but that apparently doesn't matter. It's a confusing move for them to say the least.
Maybe the second biggest winners in this deal are the Chargers, Cowboys and Jaguars. With quarterbacks coming off the board, that just adds to the talent left to pick behind them. The Chargers will get their choice of Laremy Tunsil or Jalen Ramsey.
A quick look at how the first four picks could look:
1. LA: Jared Goff/Carson Wentz
2. PHI: Carson Wentz/Jared Goff
3. SD: Laremy Tunsil
4. DAL: Jalen Ramsey
And now take a look at this from Jeff Darlington.
.@JeffDarlington already mentioning Philadelphia could trade back down if it doesn't want the QB left at 2. This draft is crazytown.
