The Titans have made another addition to the defensive side of the ball--they have picked up Linebacker Nate Palmer via the waiver wire. While Palmer is certainly not guaranteed anything on the roster, it is pleasant to see the Titans actually take advantage of their positioning on the waiver wire, and work towards churning the bottom of the roster.
Palmer is an inside linebacker that has started games in the past for the Green Bay Packers, so the Titans will add depth to a position that appears to be very thin on the surface. While the team may add another body during the upcoming draft, or even through undrafted free agents, it is a good move for the team to have a veteran safety net from a depth standpoint going into OTA's and training camp.
In the grand scheme of things, this move very well could be insignificant. However, the fact that the front office is actively working towards improve the depth and churning the back end of the roster is a positive. After several years of inactivity, seeing some change is a breath of fresh air for Titans fans.
